The hoops shall be made of solid steel and shall:
·have an inner diameter of at least 450 mm and a maximum of 457 mm.
·be painted orange in the following FIBA approved natural colour system.
·have a minimum diameter of 16 mm and a maximum of 20 mm.
The net shall be fastened at 12 locations on each hoop. The attachments to the net shall not:
·have any sharp edges or notches;
·have gaps greater than 8 mm to prevent the entry of fingers;
